Darren’s imagination of George in his
dreams lives in a plant in the factory, a lone plant, but
the alter ego sees this as its whole world. He gives wisdom
and knowledge to the tribe when awake and searches his visions
for help with the loss of the other Elms and the hope that
one day there will be more Elms and Elmy’s again
George has outlived most of the tribes people, and with
the world around them disappearing leaving only the Elm,
he is the giver of knowledge of the past to the rest of
the tribe.
